Stuart S McLean APFS, Director

Stuart started his career in financial services with Scottish Widows in 1988 as an Actuarial specialist for life & pensions. As a proven team leader, Stuart gained the advanced Financial Planning qualifications to become a Financial Adviser in 1995. By 1997, Stuart took on the role of Financial Planning Consultant at Standard Life, quickly progressing to Senior Consultant with a large and complex client base. Accepting an invitation to join St. James's Place Wealth Management in 2001, Stuart is now delighted to provide bespoke financial advice to his private and corporate clients.

Now a Chartered Financial Planner and a specialist in private client and corporate pensions, Stuart also advises his private clients on matters including wider investment strategies and inheritance tax planning.



David F Melrose APFS, Director

David believes in giving a first class service to his clients and pays great attention to detail when dealing with all aspects of their financial affairs. Starting out in his profession in 1982, he has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience and is proud to be able to offer his clients professional advice on a wide range of investments, retirement, and exit strategies*, inheritance tax planning and mortgages.

Sarah Turnbull MA (Hons) Dip PFS, Practice Manager

Sarah Graduated from Edinburgh University in 2005 with an MA (Hons) in Business Studies and Accountancy. Sarah then spent three years working in the Retail sector specialising in Stock Control, Payroll and Cash Office Administration. She started with McLean & Melrose in September 2008 as an Administration Assistant, before becoming Practice Manager in March 2011. Sarah has spent her time with McLean & Melrose building relationships with existing clients and helping to deliver the high service standards McLean & Melrose Wealth Management Ltd clients have come to expect.



Mike Gunn, Senior Paraplanner

Mike has worked in the financial services industry for 17 years. He gained experience from working for two large banking groups and prior to joining McLean & Melrose Wealth Management Ltd had spent four years with an independent financial advisor company providing excellent service to clients and fulfilling their financial needs. This experience, along with the completion of industry examinations allows Mike to deliver the high standard of service associated with McLean & Melrose Wealth Management Ltd.



Amy Johnson, Paraplanner

Amy joined McLean & Melrose Wealth Management Ltd in April 2016 as an Administration Assistant before becoming an Administrator in July 2017, and then a Paraplanner in January 2018. She graduated from Robert Gordon University in 2015 with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining McLean & Melrose Wealth Management Ltd she spent two years working within the finance department of an Oil and Gas company. Both of which provided her with the skills and experience required to provide the high standard of service typically associated with McLean & Melrose Wealth Management Ltd.



Michael McFarlane, Administration Assistant

Michael started working for McLean & Melrose Wealth Management in September 2018 as an Administration Assistant. He graduated from Urbana University in the USA with a BA (Hons) in Business Marketing. He previously worked for JLT Benefit Solutions where he broadened his knowledge of the wealth management industry and provided service and support to clients and members on a regular basis. This experience allows Michael to deliver the high standard of service associated with McLean & Melrose Wealth Management Ltd.
